What changes
The regulation requires an online withdrawal function that is easy to find, visible and confirmed.
Directive (EU) 2023/2673 amends Directive 2011/83/EU and requires, among other obligations, that when a contract can be concluded online, consumers can also withdraw through a clearly identified online function, with final confirmation and acknowledgement on a durable medium.

Before sending, the customer reviews a summary and confirms in a second step.

The customer receives the acknowledgement and the merchant reviews the request in the app panel.

Customers can submit the request in a popup or from a dedicated withdrawal page with a permanent URL.
Verified or unverified requests
If the order is found, the request is linked. If not, it can be registered as unverified for manual review.
